Man, the Blueprint 3 is springing leaks all over the place. So you know what that means... *waiting patiently for full album*. Here's one featuring the up-and-coming, German-born, North Carolina-raised rapper J.Cole, the first artist to be signed to Jay-Z's label Roc Nation. Jigga also shouts out several different artists that have been relevant in the last 10 years.
Finally, we get a mastered version of Money to Blow. Also, we got another from the Blueprint 3 to share with you but shhhhhh... don't tell anyone! Drake - Money to Blow (Feat. Birdman & Lil Wayne)
"We livin' like we Bulletproof... We Bang! Bang! bang! Bang!... We Loaded, cock, and aim to shoot!"
Raheem DeVaughn and Ludacris deliver a new track with an old school feel, reminiscent of Curtis Mayfield or Marvin Gaye. This one is waaaaaay too smooth to pass up...
"You can run for life, you can stay here and fight... Just don't die, Today..."
I've been loving this track for over a month now. Its off illRoots, K-Salaam and Beatnick’s project Where The Streets Have No Name. Colin Munroe and Kweli (I think Talib's verse is recycled on here...) assist on this one. Does ever Bun B ever spit a wack verse??? He always makes his time count. Here's a tip, whatever you do today... JUST DON'T DIE! Bun B - Don’t Die f. Talib Kweli & Colin Munroe (prod. Beatnick & K-Salaam)
I am always on the hunt for interesting and inspiring artwork. I came across this and being that Mos Def is one of my all time favorite artists, I thought it was so ill (yeah, I still say ill when the time calls for it)! I didn’t decide to post it until I realized that the words were actually lyrics to one of Mos Def’s songs (going through my Mos Def collection right now).
Here's one from the Foreign Exchange duo called "House of Cards", which features Muhsinah. The video features couple who are arguing in a car that crashes, causing the death of the girlfriend. That, in turn, sends the man was driving the car (Nicolay) into depression, making him want to commit suicide because of overwhelming grief. Its one of my favorite tracks off of the group's 2nd LP, Leave It All Behind, an album that people continue to sleep on. Anyway, press play, set back, and enjoy FE's ode that reminds us all that you reap what you sow...
This record leaked early Saturday morning & lets just say Wale wasn't all that happy to find out it got out. This was a big record for Wale, matter of a fact he's been Twit'in about this feature for some time now. I don't really rock with Jazmine Sullivan to strong on the window bashing tip because somebody would die if my windows or tires ever got slashed or broken, straight up! but she's dope live in concert. Cool & Dre produced the track. Look out Attention: Deficit, when it hits stores on October 20th.
This song goes hard! Wayne probably has the weakest verse out of everyone. I'm not sure who had the top verse truthfully. Because I haven't heard Eminem come this hard in a long time! But it's something about Drake's verse... I got a thing for pure unadulterated ish talking!! Hey, what you want me to do... I'm sorry! lol But I'll let you decide who had the top verse. But this track is for the forthcoming LeBrick James documentary, More Than a Game.
I don't really care for Estelle rapping (if that's what you want to call it). But Ludacris' verse was solid & you know John Legend is going to do his thing. They sampled Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" by the way.
This song makes me want to put on a all black Braves fitted & a black hoody & ride around Atlanta in the middle of November with my tinted windows half down, plotting on doing something I could get 25 to life for!
SideBar - It's Drake's song. But Drake already got some love (pause) earlier on the LBJ song. Hence the Nipsey Hussle picture.
I know your a little taken back with me posting a song with Shawty Lo AND Gucci Mane on it! But it's entitled "Atlanta, GA"! Hopefully the Ludacris feature will make you feel a little better. Or maybe the picture with Gabrielle in it will do it....hmmm!
I love my Iphone and I love Madden. But I don't really think I like the two together! But if you do, EA is bringing the Madden NFL franchise to the iPhone. The game is set to hit the iPhone on September 10. The controls for the game include a virtual joystick on the left along with other controls on the right. The game is said to look more like Madden for the Nintendo DS than what you get on the Xbox 360 or PS3. Receivers are apparently color coded by how open they are and the graphics look cool. You'll all have to wait until opening day for the NFL season to see what the game is really like. I think I'll stick with playing Madden on the PS3!
September 19th is the day many ATLiens (and rap fans in general) have been waiting for. If you don't understand the significance of this concert please go to Limewire Itunes & download their first album Soul Food & tell me it doesn't change your life. And if it doesn't.... please go to the highest level of whatever building your in & jump off, holding your Ipod!
Maybe you had a great weekend.... or maybe a horrible one. Maybe you met someone new. Maybe you stayed home all day. Maybe you just found out your getting cheated on. Maybe your having a case of the Mondays. Maybe you're laying in the bed typing up this post from your Iphone 3000, because you have a head cold (pause) & you feel like crap! Either way I'm sure you would much rather be doing something else, with somebody else. How about a trip to South Beach, Miami)?! To bad your broke, alone & still sick! Either way you can still look at some beautiful pictures shot by Ms. Newyorka, from her trip. Enjoy.
SideBar - Get Away is a new series of posts I'm going to start doing of pictures from trips out of town. If you have anything pictures from any of your trips that you would like featured on Get Away, feel free to contact me through email or what have you. Hopefully I'll keep this going...unlike Bridging The Gap.
I just recently started to listen to Donnis. I love the fact that artists are putting out album quality mixtapes (ie. Wale, Cudi, Drake). But Donnis (& Draft) is probably one of the hottest QUALITY rappers coming up out of Atlanta. Enjoy.
SideBar - I can't lie, I was a little salty when I found out the name of his mixtape was called Diary of an ATL Brave because some times I call myself "The ATL Brave One" in my fantasy sports leagues....but that's neither here or there. Click the link!
SideBar To My SideBar - You do realize the last two up and coming artists (Wale & Kid Cudi) to get the 10 Deep stamp blew up afterward right?
Allegedly this is a leaked pre-release shot of Apple’s website featuring the new MacBook Touch tablet device. It looks like the Macbook Touch has iPhone Apps and OS X apps running on the same screen, in which case we’ll be able to use the App Store, and run the best of OS X on the new Macbook Touch. Could it be?
“This feels like Nike when they just found Mike, or the black and white commercials when they found Spike”. - Dom Kennedy
I've told you how dope Dom Kennedy is before, but BJ The Chicago Kid is the truth as well. Matter of a fact BJ is the homie just off the twit below. But seriously BJ The Chicago Kid is a pure talent. He sounds like a artist my dad would listen to (in a good way) back when he was my age. Let's just say he's a "real soulful dude". R&B dudes now a days are so caught up in "pop locking" & baby oil, that they don't "sang" anymore. If you don't believe me check out his site ListenToBJ.com. Make sure you check out his rendition of "Don't Say Goodnight"! Almost forgot to tell you that he sings background for Anthony Hamilton & he's been on the last two seasons of Maestro Knows.

It looks like Sony continue their traditional system slimming with the announcement of their new Playstation 3 Slim. The top-notch video game system will now retail for $300, while still maintaining the same feature as its bulkier counterpart. Gizmodo breaks down some of the juicy details:
The slim will come with a 120GB drive, and will be 32% smaller and 36% lighter than the standard PlayStation 3, as well as using 34% less power. The $300 price will apply to all PlayStation 3s starting tomorrow. The Slim will be available everywhere by the first week of September. The 80GB PS3 (current model) will be discounted to $300, whereas the 160GB PS3 will be $400. There will be a new PS3 logo as well as modifications to the official name from PLAYSTATION 3 to PlayStation 3 as to not be shouting all the time. It’ll also have a BRAVIA Sync feature that’ll allow you to control the PS3’s XMB with your Sony TV remote as long as they’re connected via HDMI. And the TV will automatically turn off the PS3 when the TV goes off.
There’s also a vertical stand retailing for $24 on September 3. Whether or not you can stand it up vertically for long periods of time without the stand is unknown. Sony also says that they’re eliminating the feature of installing other operating systems on the Slim, so no more Linux. Oh, and there will only be two USB ports. Via
Ok, ok, I know it says "Outkast"! But I thought maybe if you thought Andre was in the video, you would be quicker to watch it. And I was right...........right? Yeah, I was! lol
Here’s the behind the scenes look at R.Kelly’s new video with Keri Hilson for “Number One”. I think this is a decent song. Hopefully we will get that old Robert back! R&B needs it! R. Kelly's album Untitled drops Oct. 13, 09.
Loso’s Way has to be the only album on Def Jam to get any king of push this year. I have it but I haven't gave it a listen yet. Jays in the video, kinda. The beginning scene is the best part.
A few months ago, I said that I was going to start doing a weekly post of videos that I enjoyed throughout my 24 years of existence. Well now is the time! (lol) The first video comes from Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek
The Blast - Talib Kweli and Hi-tek (2000)
---- I wanted to post "Respiration" but the person that has the video on youtube disabled it from being embedded (smh) ----
Next on the list, Who got the Props - Black Moon (1993)
----
---- That song makes me want to go buy a champion hoody and a beeper! but, I digress...
This is a track that didn't make I Am... Sasha Fierce. I was thinking about not even posting this song. But, I came across this picture and I didn't want to waste it...Lord Have Mercy!
I'm truthfully not sure what to expect from Wale's Attention: Deficit that now comes out on October 20, 2009. This song is some what of a ode to Wale's African culture. This is a rough version, the finished track which will be on his album & will feature the very wack rapper Gucci Mane.
It's probably not fair for me or you to compare everything Usher makes to his Confessions album that I just so happen to be listening to as I put together this post. I consider Confessions to be a "classic" R&B album. But what's another R&B album that you consider to be a "classic"?
Mr. Songz gives us a look into the behind the scenes of the video shoot of Drake's next single "Successful". The biggest thing that stood out to me, was the difference of the mixtape version that everyone knows & this version that is obviously the album version. On the "album version" it seems that Trey has added more riffs. Hopefully you all will enjoy the video more than you did "Best I Ever Had".
I was so inspired by my homeboy’s post that I decided to post a album that a lot of people are waiting on. I came across these two pics and I think their dope. The tracklist is below, and it seems that CuDi’s first album is gonna be a heater. With guest appearances by Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Chip tha Ripper and one of my all time favorite bands, Ratatat (BROOKLYN!!), it seems that Mr. Solo Dolo is gonna keep the ball Rollin’ (song he did with Jackie Chain).
Day ‘n’ Nite (produced by Dot da Genius)
Make Her Say ft. Kanye West, Common (produced by Kanye West)
Sky Might Fall (produced by Kanye West)
Mr. Solo Dolo (produced by Melo)
Soundtrack to My Life (produced by Emile)
Galaxy Games (produced by Jean Baptiste)
Intergalactic, You & Me
Teen Wolf ft. Ratatat (produced by Ratatat)
Angels & Demons ft. The Clipse
Pursuit of Happiness ft. MGMT (produced by Ratatat)
In My Dreams (National Cudder Anthem) (produced by Emile)
Not I Alone ft. Snoop Dogg (produced by Just Blaze)
I normally don't rock with LeBrons, but these are mean. They feel like a Jordans to me. Matter of a fact ever since Jordan retired I've felt like player's signature shoes have been lacking to say the least.
Friday was the day that Nike marked as the launch of the 7th edition of Lebron James’ signature sneaker. The sneakers mark the first time Nike has created an Air Max 360 sole specifically for use on a basketball sneaker. The sneaker is also built using flywire technology that decreases the weight of the kicks and premium full grain and patent leather.
SideBar - I personally think the Black & Red colorway is doper than this first one.
Here's a video of LeBron & Jason Petrie (the designer of the shoe) giving their perspective on the sneaker from both performance and design perspective.
Look for the Nike Air Max LeBron VII to hit stores October 24th for $160.
BP3 features such as Rihanna, Drake, Mr Hudson, Kid Cudi, and MGMT. Production from Timbaland, No ID and Kanye West. Cont reading to view the full tracklisting. Eight years to the day the original Blueprint was released.. hmph. The album will come out on Atlantic Records after he bought out his Island Def Jam contract. via
*Update* That previous tracklisting was wack, heres the artwork for the back of the BP3 cd. It doesn't get any more official than that!
Sorry about that.

In the two weeks since it aired on TV and online, hundreds of thousands of people have seen the two versions of the 60-second “Today Was a Good Day” commercials, but today Nike SB updated their site with the final installment: A web exclusive 2-minute version of the “Today was a Good Day”. Peep the cameos of Kobe, Koston, Ice Cube, Theotis & Eric Koston.
Pictured above is the Asus EEE Keyboard PC. This is what happens when a keyboard eats a PC. All the usual suspects are here, but the 5 inch, 800x480 pixel touchscreen is what blows me away. This keyboard was made to work with your TV being the main screen. It runs Windows XP and has 1GB of RAM. It is equipped with either a 16GB or 32GB solid state (no moving parts) hard drive. You would think that this would be thick in order to pack those features. Think again. The hardware that’s used is very similar to those of Asus’ EEE notebook (the $200 laptop). It has WiFi, Bluetooth, VGA/HDMI-Out and a couple of USB ports. Imagine watching Hulu.com shows in HD (yes, it wirelessly sends that signal to your TV) on your TV while surfing for more content on the touchscreen. Price point is between $400 and $600.
This is one of my all time favorite commercials,,,period. I have been, and always will be a Michael Jordan fan. The best part, to me, is the trash talking and the ending. It takes me back to a time when Superbowl and NBA Finals commercials were hyped just as much as the games were. Thanks a lot Janet!!
Drake and Lil Wayne were performing “Best I Ever Had” when Drake was moving across the stage and did a spin move…he must have turned his already-injured knee while spinning, because Drake suddenly collapsed on the stage. Four guys run out on the stage & carried him off. Lil Wayne was left onstage in a state of confusion. But don't worry everything's good, Drake posted the twit that you can see below.
