Skillz drops his highly anticipated yearly "Rap Up". Skillz has obvious lyrical silliz (<- lol), so why can't he put out a quality record? I guess it's back to ghost writing. Enjoy.
This song is arguable the hottest song of 2009! Everybody goes off on their verses! But I think the rookie stole the show! J. Cole has killed every feature he's been on! He killed his verse on Jay-Z's "A Star Is Born" & he destroyed his verse on Wale's "Beautiful Bliss". I want to go on the record and say that J. Cole is a problem!
I think its safe to say 2009 has been a decent year for Drake, wouldn't you agree? This track is actually said to be off Jeezy's Thug Motivation 103 but I don't think its finished cause Jeezy is not on this version. Anyway, enjoy. This one is "For the A-Town..."
This track is set to be on the L.A.S.E.R.S. album and its produced by The Neptunes. The internet police is in HOT PURSUIT of this joint so get it while the gettin's good! Shout out to the homie Boonie for the song and info!
No group can do that! Nobody! That right there! That real singing is a lost art in this day & age! But I'm not going to lie it was a couple of places where I could tell that they are miss Michael. They're missing him singing bass. But I heard he's supposed to be comeing back for their next album in 2011. Which will be a twenty year anniversary album.
T.I. was released from FCC Forrest City on December 22, 2009 and was moved into a halfway house in Atlanta. I'm just gonna say this, y'all better get your "stuff" together! Because Clifford been sitting in that box for a few months with nothing but time. Time to think, time to plan & time to write!
Baron Davis and Kobe Bryant sit down for a discussion about reaching the NBA's promised land. It seems like just yesterday Baron Davis was a all star, arguably the best point guard in the league! Dudes fell off hard & don't get me started on Steve Francis!?
Taking part in the image and styling of Kanye West, Ibn Jasper was recently featured by Persona TV. Some of the topics he touches upon are the establishment of your own groove and how he felt fashion has matured in the last year.
For some reason I couldn't get into Maxwell's album. I guess I wasn't in the R&B mood during that time. But as of late I have been, so maybe I'll give it a second chance. Anyway, this track features a pretty good verse from Nasir J1S Jones. Probably Nas, Ghostface & Ludacris are favorite rappers that always kill their verses when the jump on R&B tracks. The song has a great message behind it too.
UNDFTD teams with Nike Basketball on an exclusive set of MVPuppets t-shirts, combining a cartoon version of the Undefeated U-Man logo with the now iconic Kobe and LeBron puppets. Available Saturday, December 19th at all UNDFTD chapter and web stores.
It was the last night of his headlining tour in the spring before the knee injury that sidelined him. The date was May 23rd and the place was the Luckman Fine Arts Complex in LA. Tyga, Big Sean and Terry Kennedy even came out during Every Girl to get in on the party. Thanks to Oliver for the access.
Any time Eminem is featured on a track it sends shock waves. This song is on Lil Wayne's Rebirth album that was pushed back last week to Feb. 10, 01'. I like this song, everybody is saying that Eminem killed Wayne, but I enjoyed his verse. My fav part of the song is probably the hook though.
Yes, this video could be consider buffoonery. But you can not look past the the fact that this man just bought over a half million dollars worth of "toys"!! And they say it's a recession, HA! That's a 73 carrot black diamond for crying out loud!! SMH! Just wait!
SideBar - That laugh at the 8:50 mark makes me laugh out loud!
When I saw this for the first time a month ago, I was blown away! Because by adding the Black Though verse, it makes this song ten times better! After a month of combing thru the internet I finally found the audio that someone ripped from the performance! I replaced the original track on my Iphone 3000 with this one & I suggest you do the same & re-burn that CD for that Discman you're still using!
BJ was in Atlanta for a while, while on tour with Usher and got some spare time to work on some stuff. So he invited Dan to the session & this is the footage that was captured.
I'm not sure if this the next single, but it needs to be. This feels like a classic Alicia Keys record. Drake isn't really featured, but he sings background. In the clip he talks about his studio experience withMrs. Swizz Beats Ms. Keys. Shout out to B.Law for the find!
I ought to do a "Day In The Life Of J1S"... but yall would probably get sick of me being in my room.... with the occasional trip to the bathroom. Matter of a fact... I just might!
This video is amazing! It was produced by Josh Hartnett, the actor. The slow motion effect used is a thing of beauty. Smh! I was in love with the video for "I Make Her Say (Poker Her Face)", and this is even better!! Kanye has tried to make all his videos a work of art & Cudi has done the same in just the three videos he's had. Well done.
Sidebar - I need to do what Cudi & Drake do with the champagne one day! I have to!
It's been 9 years since Sade put out her last album. To this date she's made timeless music. This is her single for her album new album Soldier of Love (yeah, same name), which comes out Feb. 8, 10'. Soldier Of Love has new, yet kinda vintage feel to it.
Stevie Wonder & John Legend cover Mike Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”. It's mostly just Stevie, but hey. Mr. Wonder gets a little choked up near the end.
This is B.O.B.'s Bobby Ray's offical single for his upcoming album. No, "I'll Be In The Sky" & "Haterz Everywhere" were not singles! I think it's a very good idea to attack the demographic that he's going after with this song. What demographic might you ask... the one that still buys music. lol
